Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Draft, not legal advice. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Every bracketed placeholder — like [JURISDICTION] — must be filled in, and the whole document checked by qualified counsel, before it is published as final or relied on.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Toll waitlist website you are reading, currently hosted at [DOMAIN] (a temporary address while we do not yet own a domain). By submitting the form on this page, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this website.

1. What this is, and is not

Toll is not yet a live application. This website is a waitlist and a short demonstration of one part of the idea — the on-camera squat test. Joining the waitlist is an expression of interest, not a purchase, not a subscription, and not a contract for a product or service: nothing on this page charges you money. We may never launch an application, or we may launch one that differs from what is described here. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee you access, a specific price, a specific date, or any particular feature — including any early-access or founder-price incentive mentioned on the landing page, which is a current on-page offer, not a binding commitment about a product that does not exist yet.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to join this waitlist. By submitting the form, you confirm that you are.

3. The squat test

Doing the 10 on-camera squats is entirely optional. Skipping it does not remove your place on the waitlist. If you choose to do it, you are responsible for your own physical safety. Squatting, like any physical movement, carries some risk of injury, especially if you have an existing condition, an injury, or are otherwise not used to exercise. If you are unsure whether this is safe for you, do not do it, or check with a medical professional first. The counter on this page is a simple game mechanic that estimates repetitions from your camera image, on your own device — it is not a medical or fitness device, it is not calibrated for training, and its count may not always be exact.

4. Inviting a friend

If you enter someone else's email address to invite them, you confirm that you have their permission to send that message, or a reasonable belief that they would welcome it. The message is sent from your own device through your own mail application — we have no part in writing, sending, or storing it, and no liability for its content or for what your friend does with it.

5. Accuracy and availability

We try to keep the numbers, sources, and claims on this page accurate and sourced, but we do not guarantee the website will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend, or take down any part of this website, including the waitlist itself, at any time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual property

The Toll name, logo, page design, and written content on this website belong to [LEGAL ENTITY / SOLE TRADER NAME] unless stated otherwise, and may not be copied or reused without permission. The on-device pose-detection library (MediaPipe) is provided by Google under its own license, downloaded fresh from Google's and jsDelivr's servers when you start the squat test — we do not modify or redistribute it.

8. Third-party services

This page relies on Vercel (hosting, analytics), Supabase (database), and Google / jsDelivr (the pose-detection library). Your use of features that depend on them is also subject to their own terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law — including no warranty that the squat counter will work correctly on every device, that the waitlist will lead to a product, or that any statistic on this page remains current.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, [LEGAL ENTITY / SOLE TRADER NAME] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, including any injury from physical activity you choose to perform while using it. [Jurisdiction-specific liability caps and any mandatory consumer-protection language must be added by counsel before publishing — this clause is a structure, not a final waiver.]

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the website changes. The date at the top shows the last revision. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the update.

12. Termination

We may remove a waitlist entry or restrict access to this website at our discretion — for example, in response to abuse, spam, or a breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Confirm the correct forum / arbitration clause with counsel once jurisdiction is set.]
